Need help to set up phillips dvdr 610 dvd video player-recorder?

• been given one as a gift but need help setting it up as also have sky+running in front room where it will go we dont have a mains ariel as such we have a aerial point in wall but the main aerial is rubbish thats why we got sky couldnt get a clear picture get all channels through the sky box any help please

  I have exactly the same one and you can use it fine without an aerial. You basically plug the TV into the EXT1 Scart (bottom one) and the Sky+ box goes from the VCR Scart on the box into the EXT2 Scart (top one) on the recorder. Then just change the channel on the DVD recorder to EXT2 and you can record from Sky. I found that my Sky remote interferes with the recorder though which is a bit annoying (like when you go through the Sky channels it will switch the recorder on and off) but that's with normal Sky I haven't tested it on Sky+.
