I have a dish network HD/DVR reciever. Can I run coax from that reciever and have a HD signal?
-
The reciever has TV1 and TV2 and outputs for each. TV1 is hooked up HDMI to a Samsung HDTV. TV2 is coax in the next room(Kitchen). I want the kitchen to have HD since it's a 20" vizio hdtv.

Answer:
TV2 over Coax is ALWAYS SD. You need a second (HD) set-top box to get HD.

It won't be HD over coax. That signal is just analog SD. To get HD, you need to use component or HDMI. IMHO, you may not notice HD on a 20" set anyways.

It will not be in true HD over a coax.
