How do I transfer shows and movies from my Direct TV DVR to my Comcast DVR?
-
I used to have Direct TV and I have the DVR from them with all my shows recorded on it and now I switched to Comcast and I was wondering if there was a way to transfer my shows and movies from the Direct TV DVR to my new Comcast DVR. If there is a way can someone help me out? Thanks!

Answer:
any content on a dvr hard drive is the exclusive property of the provider, even if you managed to transfer the files they wouldn't be readable

No. The most you can do is make an analog copy to your computer or a DVD recorder.
