Philips indoor antenna, how to install?

Installing Philips Antenna for my TV?

  • I am in Chicago (NW suburbs) and have bought Indoor Phillips Antenna to view local basic free channels but not able to install/successfully view it. The model is SD6122/27. Can anyone tell me steps to install or any online resource for it?

  • Answer:

you should be able to just screw it or plug it in to the antenna in on the back of the tv. if you have an old tv you'll need a digital converter box if you have a new tv it might have a built in converter.

Your TV is most likely an analog one. The specification page in the user manual should tell you for sure. If it's an analog set it will say only NTSC for the tuner. Digital TV sets say ATSC and usually QAM in addition to NTSC. If you don't have the manual, another way to check is to look at the remote control. A digital set's remote control will have a button with either a dot (.) or a dash (-) on it. These are needed to enter digital channel numbers like 5.1 or 5-1. If your TV is analog (most likely), you'll need a converter box. Those will run you around $50, but you may find them cheaper on eBay.
