Why won't my Time Warner Cable remote work?

My time warner cable remote wont work?

  • When ever I press the volume on the remote, it won't work, all it does is the tv button blinks red when ever I press it instead of the SA button. How can I fix this? I can change channels and everything, except for the volume.

  • Answer:

    For changing channels, the remote is talking to the cable box. For changing volume, the remote is talking to you TV. The remote has to be programmed for the kind of TV that you have. Call Time Warner for instructions how to do that. (Check the back of the remote and inside the battery compartment. There may be instructions in those places.)
