How to watch films on TV from USB?

Is this a real product? Films from computer to tv...?

  • My dad said his mate told me he found one... is it real? A disc type usb about as big as your hand... and you plug it into your laptop and put all the films from your laptop onto the USB (it holds lots).. and then simply take it out the laptop (with all the films on it)... plug it into the back of the tv.. and wa la.. you can watch your films on the tv.. Real? If not.. anything similar out there I can buy?

    Yes, if your TV has USB port than you can see all video & audio and can see pics also stored on your laptop. You can use any flash/pen drive, Portable USB hard drive or standard External hard drive for this purpose. For audio and Pics files, there is no problem. But for video, it should either be of video clip (avi), movie clip (mpg), MP4 or MKV format. Best & most compatible video format is avi

Yeah many TVs can watch movies now its basically a Media Player one would transfer the movies that they downloaded on to a USB Thumb Drive and then connect it to a TV that is able to play the media.... Yet Media Players are far better than a TV as the TV companies keep the prices low and the cost of all the copyright players out there costs money....Sony and Samsung have the best converters yet still not like a Media Player. Also downloading movies is illegal and is getting harder every week and month as the governments are cracking down and tracing IP addresses. Whats a Media Player a basic one is the WD Live TV kinda old yet powerful enough to beat out a TV....
