Is a VCR player the same as a VHS player?

I have a tv dvd vhs combo and the VCR player is just a regular one not a SVHS. but i was wondering if i?

  • recorded a tv show using a SVHS tape in my regular VHS player would the picture quality be better or the same as a regular VHS tape. i know that a SVHS tape is ment to go with a SVHS player but would the quality be better in a standard VHS player? I know it wouldnt be equal to a SVHS recording but would it be at least a little bit better than a regular vhs recording? K thanks

  • Answer:

Hi Mrs Kirk, I enjoyed your husbands adventures for years. The quality difference isn't noticeable. Any VHS tape will give you about the same quality in a standard VHS burner. If you already have the tape use it but do not pay a premium for a special tape. You won't be able to tell them apart. I used some "super" tapes in mine and they came out the same. If your concern is quality you need to think about burning DVD's Norm
