Direct Tv HD DVR question?

  • Im getting a HD tv this Christmas and want to know is there a option to get a HD DVR for no cost up front? My brother has a HD Receiver so we have HD access. Our dad had Dish and upgraded to a DVR with them a couple months ago and he said it would have costs a $100 but if agreed to sign another contract than all he would have to do is pay the monthly charge. I am looking on Direct Tv's website and I can't find any deals like that but I would think they would do something like that if Dish is right? Makes sense like the phone companies do. I got my Iphone 3g 2 years ago (was like $400 or $500 at the time) for nothing because we signed a contract. We have had Dish and Cingular for almost 10 years now we sure aren't going anywhere soon lol so was just wondering if anyone knew if Direct TV offered anything like that so I wouldn't have to pay $200 for a HD Receiver.
