Digital tv box needed?

Can i install a set top box on my tv which already has sky, ariel needed for sky any way around it?

  • the tv is an integrated freeview but it keeps breaking up the picture, someone said get a seperate freeview box, problem i see is both need to use the ariel socket is there any way around it, need to do this as sky is watched seperatly up stairs and need freeview for seperate viewing, thanks for everyones help. cheers

    sounds like you need a new aerial or the connections to yours are not good it is doubtful a box will make much difference, but both have rf in and rf out

you can install a freeveiw box as well and put aerial cable coming out of sky box into freeview then out of free view into t.v make sure your aerial signal is strong enough or it will not work on set top box as well as t.v , you could add a booster to increase signal to t.v. , then you will not need a set top box as it should cure problem to tv as it sound like signal is weak.
