When would Dish ViP 922 be released?

Should I upgrade my Dish Network receiver form a VIP 722 to a VIP 922?

  • Until recently, I had two TV's connected to my VIP 722 satellite receiver. One was an HD TV and the other was SD. I just bought a new HD TV, but I can't receive HD from my receiver. Is there anyway to get two HD hookups without upgrading to a VIP 922 from Dish Network? If not...how much does Dish charge for the upgrade? Thanks.

  • Answer:

You can get a Dish Network vip612 (HD-DVR) or the vip211 (HD receiver) for hi-def tuners: http://www.sathookup.com/dish-hd/dishhd-receivers.php You could also switch services and get all new equipment if they are too difficult with you.

A 922 receiver is still only going to give you one HD output. If you use hdmi cable to one tv and component to the other you can get hd but you will be mirroring (showing the same program on both TVS) What you need is an additional hd receiver as for cost dish can let you know based on your account status.
