Is OnDemand free with a Comcast Cable Box?

How much more would it be to upgrade a cable box in a room?

• If you have Comcast cable,, and a couple years ago they made you have that little blackcable converter box that has the little green light..anyways how much more would it be to upgrade to get the type of a cable box in a room that gives you ondemand, or HD channels, then you can see what the show is on tv. Does anyone know without having to call the cable company and just get bugged the crap out of byt the cable people? sorry i know this is all confusing, I hope I'm specific enough. Thanks:)

  If comcast allows you to install the upgraded box, you could pick one up at the comcast store where people pay their bills. That way you avoid a service call and save money. The upgraded box will cost at least $10 a month to rent. I'm not sure if Comcast has free HD programming and that could add another $10. A call would be more accurate because prices can vary in different states
