How do I transfer recorded TV from my direcTV DVR to my computer?

It is an HD DVR. I need to get my recorded TV shows on to my computer.
Answer:

If you have a Tower you could just run the video using RCA, SVHS or the Component outputs of the DVR to the computer. Or if you run it to a laptop you'll need a converter box like Dazzle, Grass Valley, or Hauppauge.
