Will a blueray video work on a normal DVD?

i got a downloaded blueray video which is like 1 gb in size so if i burn it on a normal dvd would it work?

If you are asking if you can convert the file into DVD format so that you can put the DVD in your home DVD player and watch it on tv, yes it can as long as you have to proper software to convert it to DVD format.
