How do i know if i have HD radio?

Question about hd radio and radio systems in gerneral?

• hey, i have put together some stero equipment in my room and have a pretty nice set going with a 4 ch. reciver and an equlizer, cd player, you know the works. but ive been wanting a new reciver and i found one i liked, but i also am interested in hd radio. I dont really get it. Can I but like an add on to the new reciver that im going to buy? or is it like its own unit? because id hate to spend $200 on a nice reciver if i have to buy a $100 reciver and It would be useless to use.
