Help with TiVo please?

Help with TIVO please!?!?!?

  • So we have TIVO. We moved recently (about 2 months ago), we set up the TIVO successfully, via wireless internet connection. No problems. However now, we are informed our programming is going to expire, as we have not been able to connect to the TIVO service since 3/22. Every time we try to connect, it times out and states "Failed during configuration (N18)". So i tried, restarting the TIVO box (3x's), Unplugging the TIVO box for 60 secs, Unplugging and restarting modem/router, Port Forwarding Router with specified TIVO Ports, Disabling all firewalls, I've called TIVO tech support 3 times and it litterally is a joke. They basically explained why it is everyone else's problems (my router, my firewall, my IS provider, etc.) None have which have changed since we successfully set up the TIVO about 2 months ago. Does anyone have any suggestions before i call and cancel my TIVO service this afternoon?

    I have tivo but through direct tv and i have to make sure that my phone is connected to it for it work properly. You might have to do something similar since you have a new phone line, or it has to connect to a different serve on the net. Plus, i would call them and ask them to refund your money for those lost 2 months. I just checked their website and it says n18 means that it failed to configure and you need to make sure that your firewall isn't blocking it. That should help, if not, go to windows firewall and open port 80 by adding it to your safe list. Good luck.
