Where can I buy a PSX (DVR?

What type of DVR dvd player recorder should I buy. Should I get one that is turnerless or one with a tuner?

I have Time Warner Cable so I already have a regular cable box tuner. I want to buy a separate DVR recorder to add to my video system. I noticed that some DVR's come with tuners built in and some don't. That is why I am asking if there are reasons to buy a DVR recorder WITH a tuner. If I had the additional turner would that allow me to watch one channel and tape another channel? And if it was a tunerless DVR recorder it may not be able to have those capabilities?
