How to get a record deal?

  • ok can someone help with this? ok i want to know how can i get a record deal see me and a friend of mine are planning to start a band and well we want to be able to share our music with other people and hopefully get a record deal but the problem is i dont know how, i live in NYC and theres a whole bunch of places were we can go performed but it wont be easy cause we dont got no one to take us to those places and mostly those events are at night time and well see i have this other firend who's on a music group and well i was planning on joining so from the money i get from them i can build my own home studio but im not sure if it will get far and where i live theres no space but to join the music group i need certain things to join ans some i still dont have can anyone help me with this problem

    try to get sponsers they can help alot. pass out free stuff like from ur sponsers if ur know for it people will always go to your shows and ur sponsers will like it. make good music. play alot of shows. make a name for urself and it will take time but stick with it and it will pay of
