How do I record from dvr to my vcr?

How can I record from Time Warner DVR to VCR?

  • So my mom has a DVR from Time Warner and she wants to record to her Memorex VCR. I tried the whole switch the cables and place it on channel 3, but there is an option on the DVR saying copy to VCR... Can I apply that to the VCR or is the VCR just too old to even bother with?

  • Answer:

Connect Red & White Audio Wires From the DVR Audio Output to the VCR Audio Input. Connect Yellow Video Wire From the DVR Video Output to the VCR Video Input. Connect Red & White Audio Wires From the VCR Audio Output to the TV Audio Input. Connect Yellow Video Wire From the VCR Video Output to the TV Video Input. Change the input on your TV to Video or Auxiliary Once your connections are completed, turn the TV, VCR & DVR on as if you were going to watch a video tape. Set the VCR's video to the input where the DVR is connected. You should now see the DVR image on your screen. Pop in a tape, start watching the show on the DVR and hit the Record button on the VCR. Hope this Helps Mouse
