Why do my recorded DVD+RW work on all other DVD & DVR players and my computer but not DVD-RW? Difference is?
-
I recorded on both DVD+RW and DVD-RW and didn't notice the difference until after I recorded. When I try to play the DVD-RW on any other DVR other than the one I recorded them on, I get an error message? Not sure I guess how these disks differ. Appreciate any advise. Thank you.

Answer:
DVD-RW isn't compatible with a lot of players. According to Wiki only about 75% of all players. Whatever player you play DVDs on, will list all the types it is compatible with. If a player is compatible with DVD-RW then it should play. The difference is how the data gets burned into the reflective metal on the disk itself. .
