Do you need an aerial to get freeview?

Do i need to get a whole new freeview+ box or is there something else?

  • i have a fairly new tv with freeview channels built in i want to get the freeview that you can record do i need to buy a whole new freeview + box or is there something that i can plug into my tv that will record the freeview channels already there?

    What is currently being advertised on TV is Freeview from a Satellite so you need a Freeview Satellite Receiver/Recorder and a Satellite Dish, if you already have a Sky dish you can use that for Freeview, if you also have Sky you can have a dual LNB Receiver fitted to your existing dish.

If your T.V. has an RF output socket you can connect a video recorder, if it has component output you can even connect a dvd recorder. I would have to say though at the prices that are about at the moment a freeview+ box can offer so much more. The ability to record another channel for one.

just get a free view recorder or DVD recorder / i recommend Panasonic hard drive .recorder ...............
