How to make dvd+r compatible with player?

How do you make a dvd from my video club to work on my dvd player? I want to watch it on my dvd player not th?

    strange question, i am using rz dvd creator, and the burned dvd work well on my home dvd player, you should note, if your dvd player is normal dvd player, you should select "NTSC-DVD" or "PAL-DVD" as target, can't select "divx dvd" or "xvid dvd" as target, and if your live in usa, the better is NTSC-DVD, and you can try play it on another dvd player, some very old dvd player can't read the burned dvd disc, even you can create a video DVD ISO file with rz dvd creator, then use your dvd drive built-in dvd buring software to burn ISO file to DVD disc, all dvd buring software can burn iso file to writeable disc.
