Can I use a standard freeview box as a separate tuner?
-
I have a Toshiba RD88DT box. It is a freeview box with HDD recorder and DVD recorder. It allows me to watch a freeview channel and record any channel to either HD or DVD. However, it doesn't let me watch one channel while recording another. I have read other users suggest that if my TV has in built freeview tuner then this will allow me to record one channel (on the Toshiba tuner) and watch another (on the TVs tuner). However, my TV doesn't have a freeview tuner built in. Can i use my existing stand alone freeview box to act as the second tuner, so I can record a channel on my Toshiba and watch a different channel on the freeview box? Thanks
