Burn photos on to a DVD?

Help! I'm trying to burn my photos on to a dvd-r and my computer will not allow this to...?

  • ...happen, I can burn this to a cd- r though and it only takes 100 of my photos. I have over a 1,000 photos to burn to a dvd-r. I only use sony or verbatim dvd-r. I have in the past burn movies using this and it works, however, I can not put my photos on to the dvd-r. I have a lite-on dvd burner and using Windows SP3. This is a new computer. Any ideas on how I can burn my photos on to a dvd?? I heard that some situations I would have to use a dvd+R, is that true?? All I have is cd-r and dvd-r. Any help?? Thanks!!

I assume you are trying to use Windows to put photos on your DVD because you did not state otherwise. That will not work. Windows XP will not write to DVDs natively. You need a 3rd party program to do this. ImgBurn will do this nicely for you. It is Freeware and very small and light. Download it here.

Put the blank disc in the cpu and click on it and when it comes up with the name place for the disc, check the box to format the disc. Once it is formated, Then it should work
