How do I record a movie on direct t.v?

On my DVR I can't record one movie while I'm watching another?

  • I thought that was the whole point of DVR? Am I doing something wrong? Lets say I'm watching Must Love Dogs at 4 but its not allowing me to record Not Another Teen Movie at 4. thanks.

    with mine it depends on the channels your watching . i found that i can record two network shows at the same time but not two premium channels . i can only record one premium and network at the same time. it may also depend on who the dvr is through . i have a tivo receiver and it wont do both . i cant remember if the direct tv dvr did the same. i think it has to do with what tier they are on the charter digital channels wont double on mine

If it is a dual tuner DVR (most are) you should be able to record two programs at once. If you have two recording you must watch one of them or something that had already been recorded before.
