I am sure there are others, however I am not aware of them and have not bothered to investigate as directv and dish network should cover all your needs.

Yes. As far as I know these companies are the only major satellite TV provider in Florida.

They are the ony major full service pay satellite TV services in the USA. There is C-band (4DTV), but you need a larger dish (and pay full price for it and its installation), and there aren't as many channels to choose from, and there are only stocks of 5+ year ol receivers available for the service. You can get relatively better subscription options though. There is Globecast, which offeres mostly internatioal programming. There are a few other niche ethnic providers.

As far as I know they are the only 2 major ones. If you are going to sign up for DirecTV, you can get $100 off ($10 a month for 10 months) by me referring you (and I obviously get the same benefit). In order for this to work you must either order online at www.directv.com/refer or by calling 1-800-507-4045. If you use any other method the discount will not work. When you use either one of those methods provide them with my account number 040106260 and you will get the discount.
