I have a Directv sat dish, can i hook a dish network receiver to it and reorient the dish to get a signal?

Answer:
I don't believe so. The signals operate on different frequencies and the receiver ball on the dish's arm wont be able to read the signal in order to transfer it to the receiver box.

yes and no, depending on what kind of dish and what kind of reciever you have, but if you are trying to get the dish 500 programming, it is almost impossible to get it via directv dish, but you can use it to get 110, or 119, or 129, or 148, or 69.5
