DVD burning and compression?

• Hi! I need some help with burning DVD's. I need to know how I can burn wmv files to a DVD-R to work in my DVD player. NOW, here's the tricky part. I KNOW HOW TO. But I need to know how to compress the files to burn to the DVD to put on disc so that I can fit more than just 2 and a half hours of film on the DVD. You see, I have all kinds of videos that I want to burn and if I burn them the way they are, they will turn out to be over a hundred DVD's. SO I need to reduce that amount and compress at least four hours per DVD. If you can help me, give me detailed instructions and not refer me to another website where some person can barely speak or type english that would be amazing. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AND THANKS. :D Additional notes: I use Windows Live Movie maker to put multiple files into one segment, where I use Windows DVD maker to burn the files to DVD. It is a longer process, but it is a process I am comfortable with. All said, I am really just looking for a free program to compress two 2hour videos into one video to burn onto the DVD. Alternatively, I could use some help from someone who would know how to compress them without using a program that would be even cooler. :) Thanks!

  i know that DVD shrink compresses and burns files to DVDs. i am not quite sure of the process, but it can fit twice the normal content on to a DVD.
