Why most of Lcd TVs has a slot for HD-MI functions but DVD players seldom has a HD-MI function on them?
-
This is what I have found out when trying to look for DVD players with HD-MI Functions I cannot find it easily especially with the famous brand of DVD players or if they have it the cable also is not included and sold separately.
-
Answer:
Because the highest resolution of a regular DVD player is 720x480, so unless it is an UPCONVERTING DVD player, there is no point having HDMI. By the way, every HDTV can upconvert from a DVD player via component, so I would rather spend my money on a BD player than an upconverting DVD player. DVD makers don't make enough profit to include a free HDMI cable.
