My dvd player wont work?

My VHS player wont work on my DVD/VHS player?

  • I have a Sony DVD/VHS player that wont work when I put a VHS but the DVD will work perfectly.Whenever I put a VHS in my player the sound wont go on and this static pops in and out while playing the video. Anybody have any suggestions on what might be wrong

    try running a vhs wet headcleaner thru it a few times sounds like dirty heads hope this helps!!!!!!!!!

buy a vhs head cleaner. the same thing happened to me. it will be hard finding a head cleaner, but well worth it once you do find one. vhs accessories are hard to find these days. alternatively you can open it or take it to a repair shop and they will clean it for you. but if you open it yourself then clean the heads with a q-tip from bathroom and little bit of rubbing alcohol. the vhs maybe going out to, so if you get a little more life out it then burn all your movies down to the dvd or better yet burn all your movies down to the newelectronx hd pvr recorder. this way you can preserve your vhs / vcr movies before the vhs player goes full out of commission. http://doyouknow.hubpages.com/hub/hd-pvr-game-dvr-movie-recorder if you need more help then just ask.
