How can I get better TV reception?

How can I get the best possible reception on my tv with out cable?

I did it and i was amazed how good it was really quite cool

They are now selling digital converter boxes, which, if you live in the united states, you will have to have to make an antenna work come February. Considering that they convert the analog signal picked up by your antenna to digital, chances are the reception will be somewhat better. And there's the obvious fiddling around with the position of your antenna, placing it near sections of the wall with copper plumbing or wiring running through them to boost the strength of the antenna, and questionable use of tin foil *dons hat*...other than that, barring anything illegal, there isn't much else you can do to improve your reception.

Only with satellite's tv which also costs money. After some time next year antennas will no longer be able to pick up a tv signal and you will have to buy a converter box or get cable anyway.
