What kind of cables do I need for my dazzle dvd recorder HD?
-
I recently bought this Dazzle DVD Recorder from Best Buy for 60$ it says that it needs a couple of cables that are not included like a RCA video cable -OR- S-Video Cable, RCA Audio Cable. I have absolutely no idea what to use. I am thinking about recording my PS3 games with sound, so I went to amazon.com and bought a - RCA Male / RCA Male, High Quality, Composite Video Cable, 6 ft ^ Photos of it ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I1IG8O/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details ) - 3-RCA RGB RG-59/u Component Video Splitter ^ Photos of it ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RJJ0XW/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details ) - RiteAV RCA Stereo Audio Cable (12ft) ^ Photos of it ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UZA7PI/ref=oh_o02_s00_i00_details ) - S-Video Cable 6 ft. Gold Plated ^ Photos of it ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002MQGK4/ref=oh_o03_s00_i00_details ) You might be wondering why exactly I bought all of these, it was because I wanted to see if using either type of cable if it would make the quality better. Please if you can tell me really quick if one of these cables aren't necessary I would greatly appreciate it, I need to cancel the offer quick before it actually takes the money, thanks and goodbye :)

Answer:
anyone of those cables will do, so most of them will need to be returned. get a y cable, that is all you will need. i use a y cable with the tristar mx dvr, didn't buy cables expect for the y cable because all the other cables are included free. this wont improve the quality (RCA Male / RCA Male, High Quality, Composite Video Cable, 6 ft), just get some regular cables. this wont even work with dazzle (3-RCA RGB RG-59/u Component Video Splitter) - dazzle is composite only return this and get the ones with video (yellow) cable - RiteAV RCA Stereo Audio Cable you probably wont use the s-video because you have a dazzle. so most of it should be returned to save some money.

Where to start........ OK when can use Red White and Yellow with Dazzle yet of captures a poor video using Yellow. That's why they give the option of using Red, White, Yellow and SVHS cable its a basic cable it has all four we connect that whenever we have all four ports. Yet you dont need the SVHS it would be great yet PS3 doesnt use it. Any device that has those four ports will self seek the faster source to capture video and audio. To make your gaming easier here are some videos on how to set it up one has a Scart adapter yet that one does not apply also note they are all gamers and kids at that ........and they know their stuff Nuff said http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dazzle+setup+ps3&oq=dazzle+set&aq=2&aqi=g10&aql=&gs_sm=c&gs_upl=3046l9609l0l15565l10l10l0l0l0l0l810l3020l2-1.1.1.2.1l6l0
