How to record Dish Network DVR?

For the Dish Network combination receiver/DVR, how do you record short shows that start at weird times?

• There is a show (show B) that comes on tonight 5:45-6:10 pm tonight that I want to record on my DVR, according to the guide on the website of the channel I will be watching. There is a show (show A) that comes on before 5:30-5:45 pm and another (show C) that comes on after that 6:10-7:00 pm. Unfortunately, the guide on the Dish satellite receiver/DVR does not show show B, but only shows show A as coming on 5:30-6:10 pm and show B 6:10 pm-7:00 pm. I've noticed this a lot on Dish Network's guide, that if a show is less than a half hour long and comes on in the middle of the half hour, then it will not show on the guide. I've thought about just recording show A, and hoping that it keeps recording until 6:10 pm, so I can see the show I want to (show B), but I don't know if that will work and I really don't want to miss this recording. Is there a way to record show B without having to be there at that time?
