How to set my ddvd up to burn live TV?

I have a DVD player that can burn live TV shows to a disc, but how would I go about setting this up as in what would I plug into what? The show i need to record comes on in 3 hours! Thanks in advance for the help.

All the instructions for hookup are in the manual that comes with the DVD recorder. There are so many possibilities, depending on what kind of signal you get from where and what other equipment you have, that it's impossible to give you a useful answer with the info you have provided.
