What is a Good DVR card for digital surveillance recording?

My DVR isn't recording any of my shows?

Well....when I woke up like around 9 something (I have time warner btw) I looked at my cable box and it said a show was record...I turned my TV on and they said the show was airing from 9:30-11:58, but around 10:25 it stopped recording and I couldn't play it on my DVR. I then looked over to my recording log and it said "The set-top is unable to record this program"? What's that mean. Lastly, a few days back my TV somehow came back on before I went to bed and they said they were updating some card in the cable box? (Remember I have Time Warner DVR box) What could be the problem? Thanks
Answer:

unplug the electrical power cord from the box and plug it back in and once the DVR reboots try it again.
