Best Dvd Recorder which directly records in avi format ?

I want to know about the Best Dvd Recorder which directly records in avi format on dvd ? Or the best DVD recorder in India which gives you an option to record on diff formats (including avi/mpg/mp4/vob) etc. rather than we finalising the disc and then converting to desired formats on computer which creates compatibality issues on some dvd players.
