Which DVD/VHS combi recorder to Buy?
-
I am looking to buy a DVD/VHS recorder (pal format) to transfer all my old VHS home movies to DVD. What would be the best machine for this? I presume I can put the tape in one side and a dvd in the other and then record? I also want to be able to make chapters on it etc.

Answer:
Do you want decent sound and picture quality, with good reliability? If you do, then DON'T buy a combi. They are notoriously unreliable and don't produce good sound or pictures.. You are far better linking a VHS player to a DVD recorder, transferring everything across, then dumping the VHS player.
