Can my laptop record with a Hauppauge HD PVR?

Are these laptops good for an HD PVR?

• Ok well Im buying an HD PVR for Christmas and a new laptop because my laptop right now does not have a dual core processor and is kinda slow.Well heres the specs for the HD PVR http://hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html Oh and im buying an external hard drive to save all the videos BTW. READ Im gonna play Black Ops on the PS3.Im gonna use the laptop to record the gameplay with the HD PVR.Then edit it with Sony Vegas Pro 9,and upload it to YouTube. And here are the laptops im looking at.   The HP Pavilion DV6-3127dx is a better unit you get the i3 and the Intel Graphics Card will do as they have made them better a point of view below.
