Why won't my Comcast DVR record?
-
We signed up for Comcast about three weeks ago. Our DVR has never worked. We can select a show and tell it to record, and when the time comes for that show, the little red light on the box comes on. But it doesn't ever go off. When I push "My DVR" on the remote it takes me to a DVR screen, but it doesn't give me any options - it says "0% full" and won't show me anything I've recorded, or any options to set up future recordings. The screen does not look like what the little print-out they gave us shows the screen should look like. I've called Comcast customer service twice and both times they sent a signal that restarted the box but this has not fixed anything. Regular people online are often times a lot more helpful than customer service people anyway, so I thought I'd ask here. Any ideas?
