WHy wont my Direct TV dvr record?

So I just got direct tv with dvr today. It worked fine recording all my soap operas and such, but now that I want to record Dirty Dacing it gives me a "bink" sound when I hit the button. It does it with all the movies, I tried Edward Sicssorhands too. Whats wrong?

Since I am not a TV expert and I won't pretend to be one, I suggest that you call the company you bought the TV from and report this problem. They are the best bet you have for fixing this issue.

you may not be able to record movies. If i try watching a movie on demand with comcast i can't record it with my dvr.

oo same prob here umm u have 2 get the dvr installation like pay $200 dollars 4 da dvr installation!! i know u have the reciever but dat doesnt matter that matters is the installation! yea costs like $250 wid tax yeah!! gud luck!!

If it is on the on demand channels, you probably cant. If it is the regular channels, there may be a problem in the programming on your box. You may need to call tech support. They may be able to fix this on the phone, or you may need to have a tech come out.
