How long does it take for a Bell TV receiver to activate?

I have Direct TV Satellite Service in my home, want to take a dish & receiver somewhere else.?

So here's what I want to do...I want to take a basic receiver and watch the Super Bowl using my Satellite service. So I have a dish with LNB, tripod, I need to get coaxial cable. What else do I need, I have not attempted this yet. Can someone help me out here? I was told by Direct TV to take the basic, not the HD receiver that it would be much easier to sight in...any help would be appreciated.
