Comcast DVR won't playback recordings; how do I fix this?
-
My DVR through Comcast Cable has suddenly stopped allowing me to watch my recordings. Choosing a program and pressing "play" only brings you right back to the main Playback Channel. There were no previous problems with this DVR. I can still record and erase shows, just not watch them. I've tried rebooting the DVR, but to no avail. Anyone have similar experiences with Comcast and know how to help?

Answer:
This is a common problem with DVR boxes because hard drives go bad frequently. You can contact their video Tech support and they will attempt to send a hit to the box to revive it. This works roughly 40% of the time or less. Otherwise you will prob need to replace the box. This is free, but of course you will lose your recordings. Good Luck :)
