Hello does any one know where on the internet i can watch TV shows for free?

Dearest Yahoo Communiy, could anyone please tell me where i can watch TV on the internet for free? You see, I am in a hospital, we do not have TV but we have internet, I have been here for a long time, and to day my lovely older sister told me I could get TV on my laptop, I am in Canada, and on a Mac if that matters at all.
