Does a dazzle video creator plus record in HD?

Do I need to install Pinnacle Studio 15 to use a Dazzle Video Creator Platinum HD?

I bought a Dazzle Video Creator Platinum HD and it says to install Pinnacle Studio 15 from the disc. I don't want to use Pinnacle Studio 15, though. And plus, it's not really working when I try to install it. I prefer recording from the Dazzle right to Windows Movie Maker. Is it necessary to install Pinnacle Studio 15? Will the Dazzle break if I don't? Please help. Any answers are appreciated. Thanks!

Why don't you want to install Pinnacle studio 15 , it is the newest version.I strongly advice you to use pinnacle studio interface instead of windows.As they are both from the same company , compatibility and efficiency will be maximum.Even pinnacle studio can install some drivers / encoders that will make dazzle hardware job easier.Check out this blog : http://www.dazzledvc100.com
