Can i use the hapaugge HD PVR with this adapter?

Im thinking about buying this adapter so i can record xbox onto my pc. Is it possible that i can plug the xbox component cables into the Hapaugge HD PVR and then the hapaugge cables into this converter, and then into the monitor? It highly depends on your PC monitor if that will work. The cable itself does not convert the signal (no cable can, with an odd exception or three), just lets you plug R/G/B RCA plugs into the R/G/B lines on a VGA plug. Since the console/HD-PVR provides Component, (YPrPb), it won't work on monitors that accept only RGB, which is most of them. You need an active YPrPb to RGB converter box. *Many projectors will accept YPrPb on their VGA inputs, which is what those cables are intented for.
