How much is Sky Multi-Room?

Can i run SKY+ HD multiroom from Sky Dish - Have all parts?

  • Hi, So i have basic sky and a mate sold me he SKY+ HD Box, SKY HD (MINI BOX), x2 remotes and DISH with the quad receiver. I installed the HD box and works fine, planner dosnt goes past one day and program information is not there, have rebuilt the planner in the secret menu but :S, anyway; So i have one cable running from my dish to room which is the HD box, i run a RF cable to my bedroom which a magic eye is installed, have activated it and fully working. I have two HD remotes so i can watch sky in either room, BUT not different channels. So this is what i am wondering, i have the mini HD box which has a 1080i output which is WAY better than RF lol. So going to put in quad reciever and keep the main feed to living room, install a second feed to bedroom (box is not + so one will be fine). I think this will be just the same as the magic eye, same channel only, if i change upstairs, downstiars will tool but im getting a upscaled image :D but wondering, with is been a second feed from the disc would i be able to change channels on each ??? second question is, is it worth me running a third feed from the disc, going to my living room for the SKY+ feature, just i am under the impression that the + feature wont work. Thanks for your responses and time :D

  • Answer:

You will be able to change channels on each independently BUT you probably know already the only channels you'll get are free-to-air without a multiroom subscription Sky+ is free to all subscribers so definitely worth it
