Do I need to have my phone line connected to Sky?

I'm getting Sky TV installed on Saturday, but have only 1 phone line in my house - is this a problem?

  • I have one phone line, and it currently has an ADSL filter in it which is then connected (by it's two connections) to my wireless router and my home phone. Will this mean the Sky phone line will replace my home phone? I need to make calls! Help appreciated.

  • Answer:

all you need to do is buy a three plug adaptor for your phone socked then you will have for your sky one for your phone and one for your ADSL but also your tv does not have to be connected to the phone line for sky to work mine is not attached to the phone line and works perfectly

Don't worry, the majority of houses only have one phone line anyway. The Sky installer will sort all of that out, they'll install the box, the cables, the dish and everything needed to connect you up to Sky. We have a filter thingy plugged into the phone socket, which accomodates our phone line, sky connection and our internet modem.

it's me

They will sort it out. I had the same thing.
