Help with directv hd dvr's?

Directv Installation. Really complicated Please Help?

• I need to install a directv dish ( 18x20 3 lnb multiswitch up to 4 receivers ) to feed 3 standard def receivers ( D12-100 ) but as far as i m concern i need to run a straight cable from the dish to each receiver. The house has a coax connection with 1 or 2 splitters inside the walls to each room that would be perfect to connect it to just one output of the dish and feed all 3 receivers on each room. But my brother tried this on his house and he couldn't get signal on all 3 receivers at the same time. What makes me think that there is no way to do this, but then on my house i have Slimline dish connected to one those splitters called swim with power input and 8 output and everything and i have only one coax cable running from that swm switch feeding 2 HD DVRs and 1 standard def receiver ( using 2 splitters in the process ) with no problem at all. SO THE BIG QUESTION IS : What do i need to use to get enough power/strength or not have a problem at all feeding 3 standard receivers with just one coax output from the dish ( 18x20 3 lnbs multiswitch ) ? Ideas : Do i need to use some kind of power booster ? What kind ? Do i need to use a SWM like the one i have on my house ? ( have on mind that i think that i have this on my house so i wont have to run 2 cables for each dvr ) and they are diferent dishes Do i need to buy a bigger dish like my slimline to make work ? PLEASE HAVE ON MIND THAT I HAVE THIS PROBLEM CUZ I M NOT AUTHORIZED TO RUN 3 CABLES FROM DISH TO EACH ROOM TROUGH THE HOUSE WHERE I NEED TO DO THIS. So no stupid comments like " just run the 3 cables " ALSO HAVE ON MIND THAT I DONT WANT TO SPENT MORE MONEY THAN THE NECESSARY SO THINK ABOUT THE CHEAPEST CLEAN SOLUTION. LOL I HAVE NO WORDS TO THANK ENOUGH TO WHOEVER HELP ME ON THIS.

• Answer:

  If you use just any splitter, your system will not work. You need a power passing splitter. You do not need a power booster. I would definitely go with the SWM, though I did not know that it was available in anything other than the 5 LNB dish.
