Can I get HD Service to my Direct TV DVR without paying all the extra money?
-
Three months ago I agreed to a two year contract with Direct TV, after requesting a DVR. I am charged a monthly fee for DVR service. During this time Direct TV offered me an HD DVR with an new HD dish, and service free of charge, but at the time I did not have an HD TV. I just got a Westinghouse HD 1080 P TV, so I contacted Direct TV yesterday to get the service they offered and was told, I now have to pay a "discounted price" of 118.00 for satellite dish, box plus will be charged a 10.00 monthly HD fee. Is there a way to get HD service while keeping Direct TV, without paying the monthly fee, and paying for the dish, etc.?
