How do you burn avi movies and mkv movies onto dvd?

i have .avi movies, .ogg movies, and .mkv movies. how do i burn these onto a dvd? do i convert into dvd format and then burn or what? if so then what converter should i use to convert .mkv and .ogg into dvd format? also whats the best program to burn dvds?

Answer:
Vso Convertxtodvd is the best program ive found for converting to DVD. It can convert all of the file formats you mentioned (.ogg, .mkv, .avi, .vob, .mp4, .flv etc), and you can make menus and add subtitles if you want. It will then burn directly to DVD, this usually takes about an hour and half for a 2 hour movie. It does cost money, but Im sure you could find a cracked version on a torrent site.

If it's just standart movie file like Avi, mpg, dv, divx you can use Nero it will convert and burn automaticly. But I'm not sure about ogg and mkv.
