TIVO with Charter Cable?
-
I have Charter and their MOXI DVR however I want another DVR but because of high demand Charter is limiting households to just one. I am considering purchasing a TIVO but don't know how well it works with Charter and plus I don't have a landline phone either. I do have Charter Cable Internet as well and a wireless network set up. Is it worth the money to go with TIVO or just wait and hope Charter lifts the limit on their DVR?

Answer:
I do not have Charter Cable, however I do own a TIVO and it works great with my cable service. Just make sure that if you are using TIVO with a cable box, that it is not a HD box because the device that changes the channels doesn't work well with HD boxes, but it does work with Digital cable boxes. Since you don't have a landline, you'll want to purchase a usb wirless router that you can plug into the usb port on the back of the TIVO box. It works great. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
